Last post

when was my last post !? September 2008 ? why don't I update my blog very often !? I guess I should take blogging much more seriously ! ^_^

Whatever I would like to share what I am up to these days ! I have been watching Korean - Japanese dramas and movies. They are so romance/drama oriented but they are really cool, the comedy drama movies of Korea are really awesome I highly recommend you guys to watch them.

I got so fascinated about Korean stuff that I started learning Korean language. I'm also learning German, good thing is I'm learning German language (deutsch) professionally.

I think learning languages would really pay off some day or the other.

Blogging !!

What's blogging ?? Writing posts as the below one ....is called blogging ? I hope so, but what I came to know with some browsing experience is that blogging surely helps in enhancing many of our own skills and also helps in changing our attitude if we have some problem in our attitude :p

Whatever, what's blogging ?? :o

Oktober Fest

Hello guys ! I'm writing this after a bit time gap of exactly around 2 months as it seems July 28th was my last post. Whatever, yesterday I went with my friend to this fest called Oktober Fest aka beer fest at Taj krishna. It was organized by the German authorities and it was a strange experience for me, as it was first of the kind party I've attended. Beer ... beer ....more beer was the thing over there lol and there was a concert kinda thing conducted simultaneously by a German band named "The moonlights" (it seems they were world famous) who knows - how can I know I've never heard a single German song till now. But they were really good as I was tapping for their music even though I didn't understand a single word of their song. I'm not sure if it was because of music or if it was because I was drunk that I was having such experience he he!
Whatever I hope to attend many such fests in the days to come.

German Fest was cool to finally say !!

Firefox:3 Easter Eggs

Firefox:3 Easter Eggs
It’s hardly any easter eggs in Firefox, as the whole software is open source where everybody can see the source code. So it’s hardly surprising or refreshing if there is any easter eggs in Firefox as it would have been known easily by everybody who knows how to read the programming language code. Even so, there are indeed some easter eggs in Firefox 3.

To see the first easter egg in Firefox 3, click here or type about:Mozilla into the Address Location Bar.
You will see the following text in dark red background:

Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.
from The Book of Mozilla, 11:9
(10th Edition)

Not surprising? Well, the similar easter egg exists in Firefox 2 too, so it’s guessable. How about trying to click here, or type about:robots into the Firefox 3 Location Bar? This easter egg is lesser known and will get you the following ‘theory’:

Welcome Humans!
We have come to visit you in peace and with goodwill!

* Robots may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
* Robots have seen things you people wouldn’t believe.
* Robots are Your Plastic Pal Who’s Fun To Be With.
* Robots have shiny metal posteriors which should not be bitten.

And they have a plan.

There is a button saying Try Again. Don’t be fool to click the button just to see Please do not press this button again.

Just a Message

Its one of d best msgs I ever read- A mechanic was removing d engine parts from a motorcycle, when he spoted a famous heart surgeon In his shop. He called d surgeon n said "look at this engine. I opened its heart, took d valves out, repaired n put them back. So how come I get such a Small salary n u get big bucks, when u & me r doing d same work?"D surgeon paused n whispered 2 d mechanic "try doing it with d engine running..!"

Geekism is !?

Geekism is:
  1. When you read XML faster than you read English.
  2. When you haven't seen bright sunshine for about a year, or two.
  3. When you have downloaded more movies to your computer than you can ever watch in your lifetime.
  4. When you setup your computer to run winamp with loud music every morning instead of buying an alarm clock.
  5. When you always have a backup plan for your backup plan.
  6. When you have every email that you ever sent or received.
  7. When your Internet "handle" becomes the name that everyone refers to you with.
  8. When your daily vocabulary includes words like GUID, CLSID, XAML and XMLNS and when you pronounce them as "Gooid", "Silsid" and "Zamel".
  9. When you dial your own phone number with the same phone to "see what happens".
  10. When, no matter how much you end up using technology (gadgets, gizmos, software, so on), you're never really sure how/why/when "things" work. More importantly, you can never really say for sure, that pressing button "A" will always cause reaction "B". You have to test it. Often. This is also the same reason that you must always press: Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C before submitting an HTML form, for example.
  11. When you head straight for the Ready-To-Eat / Microwaveables section the moment you enter a supermarket.
  12. When you have a pre-planned, well thought out list of things to do in the case of a life-threatening emergency in your house, like a fire or something. This includes, in order of priority:
    a. Safely shut down computer. Depending upon level of emergency, check email / downloads, first.
    b. Depending upon level of emergency, rescue entire computer, or just the hard disks at bare minimum.
    c. Rescue people, items of lesser importance, like spouse, children, dog, plasma / lcd screen, etc.
    d. Look for means to avert said emergency.
  13. When you are completely comfortable pressing any kind of button, anywhere, without consulting any kind of manual. This goes well with the earlier, "to-see-what-happens" idealogy.
  14. When you're completely comfortable giving the computer screen the finger, or cajoling your computer verbally to try and make it work even faster.
  15. When you now laugh all the way through Hackers even though you sat engrossed all the way through it when you saw it first in 1995.
